In doing so we can devise a very specific and unique career development plan for each and everyone of the people who work for you to make sure they can achieve as much as they possibly can for you and themselves.
The Career Coaching Programme ...
It is generally broken down into the following 6 areas, but is tailor made to suit your particular companies requirements:
- Look at what they want to achieve as individuals - personal career goals vs. what the goals of the organisation.
- Appraisals from peers and themselves - takes into account self perception and the perception of those that work closely with them.
- Find out about the individual / where they come from - uses the Highlands Ability Battery and Myers Briggs Type Indicator to evaluate the individual's unique skills, abilities and personality.
- 360 Feedback - more concerned with how others view the individual's competency and is evaluated through the use of specific questionnaires about competencies that the organisation is concerned with, or that are specific to the individual's job.
- Clarifying Objectives - we find out what the difference is between what the employee thinks are their objectives in their current role, what others think are the objectives of that role and what the organisation as a whole sees as the objective of the role. This really helps to clarify between ALL parties what is expected and what is not expected. A common complaint of many employees is that despite having a job description they are still unsure what exactly is expected of them and become demotivated as a result.
- Action Plan - we finally work on the specific goals and areas for improvement that the individual needs to move forward. For example - sales professional requiring better negotiating skills or a manager needing to learn to delegate better in order to fulfill their role.
