CAREER COUNSELLING PROGRAMMES
This is what clients have said:
“ I went to Diana when I wanted to leave my job. It was a consistent cycle that I was in. I'd be happy at a job for about a year or two then I'd really want to leave. So I thought I'd do something about it.
At first I was skeptical as I wasn't sure how change would happen by doing this, but through the different discussions and tests I found what I was looking for. I'd always been in jobs because I could do them pretty easily and do them well, not because I had chosen to go into a certain field.
Since working with Diana I've changed jobs in my company and am much happier. I've also began studying again in a topic that I find extremely interesting.
If you have any doubts about what you currently do, question if you're going down the right career path or just don't know what you want to do, I'd recommend working with her.
I didn't mean this to sound to salesy... I just feel like a new person since I went to Diana and made some changes with my life.Marketing Manager, 35
“ Career counselling ... I can full heartedly recommend it to you! I felt completely stuck in a job that I just happened to fall into and was starting to feel like there might be no way back. I didn't enjoy it and it certainly didn't play to my strengths. The trouble was I had so many interests so when people said 'just do something you are interested in' I felt more confused. The process really broke down every single element of the decision making process that goes into choosing a career for yourself from interests that of course play a part, to things I hadn't even thought of like your family and your history.
I think the most important thing about going through it was lifting the fog - Diana really helped to clarify what I wanted by showing me tangible results to PROVE to myself I could do it. Seeing what I was good at was in many ways a real eye opener and has changed my attitude completely towards failure or stress in positions I don't feel comfortable in. I no longer think its acceptable to shoe horn myself into work that doesn't suit me - but if I do find myself outside of my comfort zone I realized that its also okay NOT to be good at everything. This may all seem so simple but it’s the sessions and Diana listening that really helped. You are given homework to take away so that you are thinking about it in your spare time as well as in the sessions and its important to take that seriously. I recommend a session a week to keep the intensity going as well.
When I finished with her after the sessions and with the psychometric testing I ended up quitting my job and working freelance to gain more experience in work that incorporated my skills and abilities. Its hard work doing it that way because of the uncertainty or stability but after 6 months of that my life had completely turned around. I moved cities and ended up gaining a full time position in a great job which was much closer to where I saw myself and using far more of the skill set I have. It still wasn't my dream job but I did feel I was on the right path. Then after 6 months there and after gaining a lot of experience there was the threat of redundancy so I put the feelers out again. I am now looking forward to starting what is essentially my dream job in Dubai in December. This all took about a year and half from when I first walked through Diana's doors. I can guarantee that if we hadn't met it's not just my working life that wouldn't have changed. The amount of sheer confidence in myself, my abilities and my potential to succeed that I gained from working with her has been such an unbelievable boost.”Account Executive 29
“Thanks also for all your help. I came to you for career counselling and got a lot more than that. I was not in a very good state emotionally when I started my sessions with you but I feel that you really helped me work through a lot of stuff and see more clearly where I am going. I feel excited about my future and look forward to keeping you up to date on developments."

“I was unhappy in my chosen career but had no sense of the direction I wanted to move in. Working Career have made a real difference to my self-awareness and helped me target potential career changes to investigate further. The Highlands Ability Battery was the part of the course I found most interesting and useful. It has really helped me to understand the reasons why I found my current position such an uphill struggle. It has also helped me focus on my strengths and given me a much stronger sense of direction in alternative careers to consider and investigate. Diana’s constant support and friendly/approachable manner was also a huge help throughout the process.”

“I found the careers programme very useful in clarifying the issues I have with my work; helping me to look at (short term) job options in a more intelligent and informed way and also to make longer term plans for career change. I would (and have!) recommend the programme to anyone considering a career change or who has that creeping feeling of boredom and dissatisfaction with their job. I spend so long at work it is incredibly important to get the best fit possible with my skills, abilities and values!”

"I have gone from making one bad decision to another about my career, with the big question constantly looming over my head - What do I want to do for the rest of my life? I was recommended to call Diana by a work colleague and it may just have been the first of many good decisions I am now bound to make. Finding out my unique abilities was both surprising and reassuring, it made me remember who I am and what I want out of life. It has empowered me to make decisions knowing I have the talent and tenacity to see them through - now I wake up in the morning knowing who I am, there is nothing more valuable than that."
