Strengths Focused Coaching – rather than focussing on weaknesses, it is more powerful to build on strengths. Working with strengths means building motivation, reducing stress and building energy for work.

Cognitive Behavioural Coaching – thoughts, feelings and actions are linked. How we feel or think about things can affect our actions. Working with thoughts and feelings can be useful for dealing with issues such as stress or procrastination.

Goal Directed Coaching – having a goal to work to can affect our behaviours. After all, as they say, if we don’t know where we are going, we will not know how to get there or when we have go there! Sometimes working on a goal and knowing what we want is a goal in itself.

Solution Focused Coaching – very often career coaching involves problem solving and decision making – what to do next. We work on solutions to these problems.

Neuroscience for Coaches – working with emotions and thoughts that underpin behaviours. Only through understanding what is really going on in a coachees mind allows us to facilitiate changes.

Career Coaching

Career Coaching is to help individuals navigate their career. This might mean helping individuals in career development, finding and achieving work goals.
For each client we create a personalised programme depending on the issue. This includes one to one coaching and may include some psychometric assessment normally around personality preferences or strengths finding.

Executive Coaching

Executive or Business Coaching is designed to improve performance against current objectives and often focuses on a performance shortfall or on helping ‘coachees’ to acquire a new capability/skill. Typically this lasts for 4-6 sessions of 1.5 hours over a 2-4 month period.

Leadership Coaching

Leadership Coaching can be invaluable improving leadership skills in people who are new to leadership positions or to experienced leaders who want to improve their leadership competencies. Typically this lasts for 4-6 sessions of 1.5 hours over a 2-4 month period.

Redundancy Counselling

Organisational change is inevitable and sometimes individuals who have been made redundant or who are going through career change, require assistance with this process.
Sometimes individuals find the transition from one organisation to another difficult. Perhaps they have been in your organisation for a while or have never been in the job market before. Or perhaps they want to take the opportunity to review their career and change direction. Change for some can be stressful and being able to offer outplacement services can send a positive message to them and those survivors of redundancy who remain in the organisation.At Working Career, we have expertise in sensitively assisting individuals in the process of finding another similar role or of changing direction.
We offer a programme of one to one work, psychometric testing and informal exercises so that the individuals can rediscover their talents and abilities and therefore feel more confident about their direction and about selling themselves. Part of the process is to offer practical advice on the job marketplace, how to access it and on updating CVs and interview coaching.
